Dan Egan is our February Student of the Month. He has transformed in front of our eyes since he began Bikram Yoga. He's become so committed to the yoga, he's made it a family and work affair. He regularly brings his children (his son Chase is pictured below) and has purchased packages for his co-workers to get them in the room.

Testimonial from Dan
A friend invited me to my first yoga class. Having played sports my entire life including finishing a marathon, I knew that I could finish any 90-minute exercise routine. I threw in the towel after 60 minutes of attempting to muscle my way through class. I returned to class 6 months later humbled, intimidated, and determined to master yoga.

I have learned so much in so little time. I have been pleasantly surprised to find that yoga has less to do with the body and more to do with the mind. Here are some of the things I have learned. The gauge in my mind and not the one on the wall controls the heat in the room. It takes controlled breathing, focus, and determination to keep my leg lifted for 60 seconds (not muscle strength). I can't be the best student in the class because we are not competing. I have been surrounded by wisdom my entire life and have been too distracted to let it into my consciousness. I don't have to be stressed out to accomplish great things in my life. I can't master yoga; I can only work harder to be better than I am today. I can run from pain or work through it. Serenity is a good thing and the list goes on and on...

Losing 3 inches from my waist along with 20 lbs and gaining flexibility I did not even have as a teenager are benefits that would have been my headline a year ago. Now I see them as a side benefit to this practice that has done so much more for me.

Having traveled to different Bikram studios around the country, I am proud to call Bikram Yoga Dallas my yoga home. David & Karen have taken a studio with a history of success and continued the excellence with well-trained, high-spirited teachers, and a fresh new look.

Here is my favorite clip from Bikram's Beginning Yoga Class book. "when you do this Hatha Yoga, all the screws loose in your brain - which is always human being's worst chronic problem - get fixed, too". So true...

Testimonial from Dan's son Chase (age 13)

Yoga is fun but challenging, that is what I like about it. After each class I feel really excited that I finished it. I feel like I conquered a giant.
