A friend introduced me to Bikram Yoga about five years ago. She said it was a great work out! I had just had a baby and thought it would be a great way to get back in shape. So I tried it.
I managed to get to class once or twice a week for six months until my family demands increased and I stopped coming. I knew I would return again when I could commit to a regular practice and give it my all.
This past September that's just what I did. It started with a single class. The yoga instructors kept stressing the importance of frequency. So I took their advice and kept coming. Every day was a struggle and I really wanted to improve.
I had been practicing for 10 days straight when I heard about the 60-Day Bikram Challenge - 60 classes in 60 days and you will have a new body, a new mind and a new life. I thought, "That's just what I need!"
I began to see benefits I did not expect. I became more focused and confident in my daily life and less stressed about the little things. I have inspired others to start the Bikram Challenge and to look within to find the determination that exists in each of us.
I currently practice Bikrim Yoga five times a week and continue to enjoy the benefits on a daily bases. Physically things seem easier. My nerves don't get rattled very easily and I have a much more positive outlook on life.
If you are thinking about doing the 60-day challenge I strongly recommend it. You have everything to gain and nothing to loose!
